The Meaning of Love

Once upon a time was there an artist. He was greatly talented and wise and loving, caring was he as no other man could ever be.
But had he just one predicament. He realized that he was wise and was he capable of painting as splendid as no mortal was, yet could he never decide what to paint. His canvas would always lay bare, his palette would always remain untouched and dusty.
Then one night did God appear to him, and he asked to the Lord God, "What is it, thee mighty Lord that makes me incapable of  dyeing the canvas which I know I am so capable of adorning of?". To this did the Lord reply, "Thou are wise, Son to think that you are capable, but thee know what? The more I think it over, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people."

Love, in its three forms of Eros, Philis and Agape is one way to achieve God, The Perfection, The Master Work which comprises of the Philosopher's Stone and The Elixir of Life.
